Swiss Course – Bringing Emotions onto the Path, part 4

Attachment, anger, envy, pride and mental blindness accompany us our whole lives. They condition our perception as well as the actions that result from that. When we let them play out, completely unpredictable emotional entanglements will result. When we try to suppress them they pile up and occupy our mind. Both approaches are not helpful and let us remain enslaved because we don’t understand what’s actually going on. The Buddhist approach shows us a way in which we can gradually gain more understanding, control and finally also freedom with regards to this important part of our lives. We will base ourselves on a text by Karma Chagme, entitled “The Great Peacock that conquers the Poisons”, with additional explanations from Gendün Rinpoche. Language: German Lama Walli & Lama Chris
